Proud and tall, the Centaur are exquisite huntsmen whose speed and strength make them fearsome foes on any battlefield; their strong legs and hooves are as deadly as the blades they wield.

Drawing close to what you've heard them call their main camp, you see several honor guards standing in silence, watching you as you approach the gates. You try to remind yourself of all your brave adventures as you go, but still an uneasy feeling slowly creeps up your spine as you get ready to pass one of the massive guards. His gaze haunts your every step.

Suddenly, the guard gives you a barely noticeable nod just as you're about to step past him, and then turns his head away.

You are safe... for now.

Yes, there are various anatomical and other slip-ups, but let me defend myself by noting that this picture was drawn rather quickly in bed one night when I couldn't sleep. In other words, I had no material at my disposal to use as reference for horse (or human) anatomy, so the Centaur Honor Guard is a mash-up of the worst kind. I am myself most displeased with the left arm that is in an awkward position, but this makes me no less (painfully) aware of all the oher mistakes. Le sigh, etc.

The original greyscale drawing was created using a simple mechanical pencil, and coloured on the computer. A slight cutout effect was then applied on the image to give it a more consistent look.
